UP Art Studio is proud to introduce our new Art Car: “Doing the Most Good with Art” (Nickname: Tools of the Trade) // Car #101.
A hearty thank you to The Salvation Army of Greater Houston! The theme and name of the car plays on the Salvation’s Army slogan of Doing the Most Good while highlighting UP Art Studio’s mission of “Civic Pride through Civic Art.”
UP Art Studio is passionate about harnessing the power of art and creativity of artists to uplift people, neighborhoods, and underserved areas and used this as the vision for the theme of the car. Robin Munro, UP Art Studio’s lead artist, was behind the custom design showcasing the tools of the trade.
Tools of the Trade represented on Doing the Most Good with Art include a roller paint brush, multiple sizes of bristle brushes, and a spray paint can. This showcases the diversity of tools that can be used in the creative and artistic processes and encourages everyone to get involved to “do the most good!” Vibrant colors used for the splashes of paint bring light and positivity to the impact art has within the community.
We hope that you can join us on Saturday, April 15th at the Art Car Parade in downtown Houston as Tools of the Trade makes its debut!
